Irish Cricket Doco - time to stump up
April 30, 2007 by Markham
Pictured is Sligo-born Sydneysider Paul Davey, the man who unwittingly nabbed the biggest story of the Cricket World Cup - Ireland.
In the current Irish Echo, Paul is our page three, where he tells us the story of how he became the
Irish cricket team’s 12th man. Now he’s back in Oz, and looking for investors for the film so that he can bring it to the big screen, or at least Montrose.
The site is here, the story needs no exaggeration, but it won’t be told unless Paul can pay his visa bills. Direct all your rich billionaire friends here. Denis O’Brien has already done his bit, paying for hotel bills, flights and, Gawd bless him, a mobile phone. Who’s next?
More on Paul, Irish cricket, and the path for both to Hollywood greatness in the next issue of the Irish Echo, out May 9.

Hi Markham,
Thanks for the publicity
Just to confirm that I’m a Sligoman
Take care and thanks again
P
*ping* it’s fixed.
Glad to be of service - watch out for more official blogs accompanying the Irish Echo coming soon.
I think the guy above Paul on page 3 is alot sexier & should be the star in his own Hollywood movie.
Would that be the man you went on honeymoon with Kylie?
Well done Paul from all at AIDD,
Really looking forword to seeing the movie,
you can now start making one about the Bit o’ Red.
Regards,
Andy.
